Sketch

So.... I made another sketch. 😎 Meet the handsome guy who has no name but I think I'll name him Adonis since he is so good looking. 😅 However, the honor of coming up with this guy goes to Chibana Shinji, a talented artist that I am following over Instagram. 😄 What I mean to say is that this is a referenced photo since I can't yet come up with proper characters yet.

Going for the outlines first, as everyone does. As you maybe able to see that part where I have drawn and erased eyes so many times that it seems to leave permanent traces over there. I like to draw eyes but the problem with me is that one eye differs from the other in size and shape so I have to use quiet an attempts of rubbing eraser over it before I get the form that satisfies me. Yes, even when I have the reference photo in front of me, I cannot draw it 💯 same as it is in the reference. 😞 Just a beginner I am, you see. Well, as you can see, there are no eyes. But I think it still looks fine 😆

Now I have drawn eyes and also did some messy shading to hair. I mostly go for all-blended shading with pencil but here you might notice that I was trying to do Crosshatching which, unlike the reference photo, looked awful here. Crosshatching looks cool and easy but... I just like to blend things up with cotton buds 😜

Completed form but rough. I shaded the hair first, then made eyes in like hundred attempts and then the neck region (really like shading under the chin,.. how it is darker on top and gradually goes lighter 😌). You probably can see Crosshatching on some places right now but it is all blended smooth in the final version. You know what... I don't think I really like Crosshatching.. it is really sour.. like grapes! 😕😑
